Highlights: Added native ASP.NET MVC 3+ support. You can now render a FileManager in a MVC view by calling the 3 methods Html.RenderCss, Html.RenderJs and Html.RenderControl with an instance of FileManager class as the parameter. Updated examples to include MVC projects for C# and VB.

Highlights: Added archive file system which supports these archive formats: zip, 7z, rar, tar, gz, tar.gz (tgz), tar.bz2 (tbz, tbz2). From now on, the contents of these archive formats can be browsed just like regular folders. This is similar to "Compressed Folders" in Windows Explorer but for all archive formats not just for zip format.

Highlights: From now on App_Data\Tools folder and contents (DLLs etc.) will not be created. The DLLs will be generated in "Temporary ASP.NET Files" folder for the application instead so you will be able to publish your site without hitting any locked files.

Highlights: Fixed intermittent crashes when running on Visual Studio (especially 2010) or when running "ASP.NET Web Site Administration Tool". For FileUltimate, fixed "Invalid source HTML for this operation" error when downloading on IE8.

Highlights: Added a navigation bar below ribbon which includes: Up button for navigating to parent folder easily, Breadcrumb navigation which allows users to keep track of their location and to drill down folders easily, Refresh button for refreshing the current folder as an alternative to the context menu action, Search box for doing basic search in the current folder.

Highlights: When using "Authenticated User=true" for root folder location, video thumbnails could not be generated (image thumbnails were fine) due to an impersonation issue. On Filevista root folder dialog, if the path does not exist but it's accessible, user will be asked if path should be created with a confirmation message so that user does not have to create the folder manually on the server.

Highlights: Built-in impersonation support. RootFolder locations can be specified with user credentials. No more web.config settings are required to connect as a specific user or as the IIS authenticated user to a path.

Highlights: When pasted items copied or cut from another folder, current folder was not being refreshed. Borders will be shown for focused but unselected items.
