multiple files selected download fails

we have file vista Version 7.36.0.0 and when we click select multiple files then right click the group select DOWNLOAD the download fails saying in the browser "couldn't download network issue" . If we select multiple files and then right click the group and use ADD TO ZIP and then download that zip it will work fine. what could be the issue here and anyway to fix this or troubleshoot further?
