Some PDFs show corrupt document error even though they open in Adobe.

We have started to receive PDFs from a supplier which now show a corrupt document error message when being viewed through DocumentUltimate, the same supplier has sent documents previously without issue. 
They open correctly in Adobe, with no need for password or other encryption. 
We can 'print to pdf' from Adobe and view the resultant PDF okay in DU. 
I have tried to view the documents through the trial copy on here, to see if our version is out of date, and the same error is shown. 
Any ideas?
