Garbled in the document viewer with GleamTech.DocumentUltimate 6.5.0
Problem reported by Amila Paththamperuma - 8/10/2022 at 10:17 PM
Resolved

We have recently upgraded the document viewer in our system to have the latest version of document viewer, GleamTech.DocumentUltimate 6.5.0 and GleamTech.Common 5.5.0.

After upgrading to latest version, we have run into an issue where some of the characters in the document appear garbled in the document viewer. When we opened the document in document viewer, it seems see sections of the text (not all the text) is garbled and not correctly rendered as seen in the image attached. We have been able to open it using Adobe Reader after we download it and open. However, when we try to open and view it with document viewer , the text is garbled. We can confirm that there is no issue with PDF, because this happens only when we tries to open and view  in Document viewer and if we download the PDF, we can view it without any issue. And interestingly, it doesn't happen always, but randomly. This is so annoying issue and it affect lots of our Clients. Could you please look into the issue and provide us a quick solution?

The files, documents in App_Data\DocumentCache opens correctly in pdf viewer.

Example:

This happens for multiple documents but one common proporty is, they all seems to have T3Font & Custom Encoding

Please try the new release DocumentUltimate v6.6.1 and let me know if problem is not solved. Note that when trying a new version, make sure you delete the correponding cache file so that you force re-conversion of the .doc file.

Unfortunatley, there is no luck
It worked with .net Framework 4.8, bu our application is in .Net Framework 4.7.2 and it still has issues. And it is a pdf file which has an issue not a doc file
