Buttons on a PDF are not rendering within the viewer, but are if you open the PDF normally

As per the title.

I have a PDF "interactive" brochure that includes buttons on it, which allows you to jump to different points in the PDF.  These buttons are not rendered within the viewer.

Any thoughts?

Finally got to this one.

I found that upgrading the version to latest and allowing annotations got these "buttons" to be visible.
Whatever client thought it was a great idea to use them as interactive elements, and my version of acrobat called them buttons not annotations added to the confusion!
