Outlook Attachments View - show/open or download

we have a lot of Outlook (*.msg) files with PDF attachments - It would be useful if the Viewer could show this attachments in any way or
there is a link to open/Download this attachements…

FYI, previewing email attachments is now fully supported.

Version 5.7.0 - November 3, 2020

Added: Attachments inside email formats (MSG, EML) will now be available in DocumentViewer.
Email formats with attachments will generate a PDF Portfolio (aka PDF Package).
DocumentViewer will show tree of attachments on the left side and it's now possible to click attachments to load and display.
The cover sheet will be the email message itself.

Hello,

Very good - but there are small issues:

Cover sheet is always in english not current language (german is "Deckblatt" or "Hauptdokument")
letters like äöüß in the attached names are not show correctly (see above picture)
if an attachement is shown the download and download as pdf always downloads the main dokument not the attached - printing works

Hi,

"Cover sheet" is a new entry in the translation files, you can update the file and add the missing translations and send it back to us, see here:

I will check the Unicode letters issue.
This is known, for this version downloading attachment feature was left out but it will be implemented in the next version.

Thanks for the updated translation file.

Regarding lettters "äöüß" issue, I couldn't replicate it with a Portfolio file I created with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017: this is the test file and the letters are displayed correctly in DocumentViewer:

FYI these issues are all now fixed in Version 5.7.2 - November 9, 2020:

Fixed: Attachment names with unicode characters (e.g. german umlauts) were not encoded correctly when generating PDF Portfolio.
This caused DocumentViewer to show names with garbage characters in the Attachments tab for an email file.
Improved: "Download" and "Download as PDF" buttons will now download the currently selected attachment, not the container document.
Improved: Updated German translation file.
