trial license question
Question asked by steve lee - 1/25/2018 at 1:40 PM
Answered
Is it possible to get a trial license extension for DocumentUltimate. I thought it would add watermarks when the 30 day trial went over but it's not the case.

Message "Could not convert because trial has expired, please purchase a license."

Ran into a few wrinkles with our designers and are trying to standardize how they create DXF's before we purchase this product and am no longer to test.  Thanks

Would also like to get Ticket: 383-21D92448-0301 looked at.

Steve, probably you just copy/pasted the code sample, make sure you replace the extension key with the one in the above gray table in the email.

strange, normally you don't need to do that. maybe your web application needed a restart (recompiling or saving web.config already does that)

Could you send me another trial key? The one you sent me has expired.  I thought it would be good for 30 days.
I've already gotten approval to purchase an enterprise license and have started the process but it's out of my hands as to when the purchasing dept gets it to me.

Thanks

Yes, it was supposed to be good for 30 days, that's strange. I will check if there is a bug about it. Anyway, I sent you a new trial key

thanks. new license was giving me license expired message as well. In local IIS I had recently set Enable 32bit-Bit applications to true for my application pool to get one of our wcf services working which appears to have caused the problem. I haven't had time to check our QA or Production environments yet to see if both work at the same time.

looks like it's just happening in my local environment

From docs "Licensing" section:
If you deploy to IIS and see the watermark before your trial expires, set "Load User Profile" setting to true in "Advanced Settings" of the application pool. This allows your web application to access Windows Registry for storing trial information. Note that when you have a license key, "Load User Profile" setting is not required so you can keep it at the default value "false".
